Hi there! Welcome to a new blog spot. Today I’d like to share some of my favorite spots in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Being born and raised in Buenos Aires we tend underestimate how beautiful the city is.
Buenos Aires it’s a hidden gem if you ever visited you know exactly what I’m talking about. It’s extremely difficult to narrow a few Instagram worthy spots, so I will be sharing several posts with different places and even restaurants you can visit and take those Instagram worthy pictures.
Recoleta: is the perfect place to start this neighborhood has many attractions. It’s extremely busy during the weekends, so if you don’t like big crowds I would suggest to visit during the weekdays.
El Ateneo: is every avid reader’s dream. It’s a theater turned into a bookstore and you can spend there hours. You can seat in the cafe or take a quick look at some books in the theater balconies. I used to live closed by so I’m pretty familiar with the area, again avoid to stop by during the weekend it gets extremely busy.
Belgrano/ Palermo: both have great restaurants options during the day and at night. Beware that we don’t eat dinner very early in Argentina, so if you plan to have dinner at 7:00 p.m. you might find that restaurants are not quite ready to serve dinner yet. Plan ahead specially if you are traveling with little ones.
Hotel Alvear: Tea time at Hotel Alvear is not only Instagram worthy it’s a great experience to enjoy some of the most delicious patisseries in Buenos Aires. Call in advance to make reservations, some days the have that area of the hotel reserved for private events.
