Hi loves! Today I wanted to share Benjamin’s first birthday pictures and cake smash. When my oldest turned 1-year old I had no idea these cake smashes were a thing.
We decided not to host a birthday party in September since we were traveling to Argentina to get him baptized and planned a bigger celebration there (will be sharing those pictures soon 😉 ). So this photo shoot and cake smash was a great way to celebrate Benjamin’s first birthday and keep these cute pictures as a memory.
Don’t stress out about spending a lot of money! I was able to find most of the items online. Like this cute bunny romper.
I didn’t go crazy with the cake I bought one with light blue frosting from the grocery store and got the cutest bunny candle to add on top. The only item I “splurged” was on Benjamin’s very first Peter Rabbit plush toy.
I also got some favor bags for his baptism celebration since I wanted to do the same Peter Rabbit theme.
As I mentioned before you don’t need to spend a lot to get some nice first birthday pictures. The last tip I’d like to share is to be on the lookout for the Easter sales, stores usually want to get rid of all the Easter decor once the season is over and they do amazing discounts ( that’s how I got some of the small bunnies and carrots!).
